- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I just recently moved to the area and hadn't yet found a vet for my 1-year-old mutt. Last week, he ate rat poison, and it was a Sunday so we couldn't find ANYWHERE open that was close to our tiny town. The closest open facility was over an hour away, and we were already freaking out. I left messages for a handful of closer clinics, hoping to reach their emergency lines. Rachel from CVH immediately called me back and told us that she would meet us there to help us out, even though they were closed. We rushed him in and she quickly began to care for my dog and prevent the poison from doing any harm. She literally saved his life, and we are so grateful! She was so kind, helpful, patient, and professional, so my dog will definitely be a regular patient here, even though it's a longer drive for us than many other vets.
